- 7-zip compress and decompress files in the 7z format
- Blender, for 3D animation
- Claws Mail, a small and barebones e-mail client
- enve, for 2D animation (in development) (Windows and Linux only)
- FontForge, for creating/editing fonts
- GIMP, for editing images.
- Gnu Unifont, a font covering most code points

- JPEG2PNG — it's not a miracle worker but it does fancy math to reduce artefacts in a JPEG image.
